Building about to start on another housing scheme in big Offaly town

Twenty-two residential units will be constructed

BUILDERS are due to move on-site before the end of April to begin work on a 22-unit residential scheme in Offaly.

The development will take place on Carrick Road, Edenderry and will comprise 18 two-storey terraced houses and four two-storey apartments.

Located adjacent to the existing Carrick Hall Close scheme, Carrickhall Grove will have 12 three-bed houses, six two-bed houses and four one-bed apartments.

They will be built in five blocks with seven houses in one terrace, four in the next, three in another, two in another and a further six units.

The project is from Greypost Developments Ltd and the company directors were named in the planning application as Nathy McIntyre Pat McIntyre and Jarlath McIntyre, Greenogue Business Park, Rathcoole, Dublin.

Previously, consent was sought for 26 residential units on the same 1.45-acre site, a mix of houses, duplexes and apartments.

Permission was granted by Offaly County Council in February, 2022 and according to a commencement notice, building will begin on April 28 next.
