Belongings stolen from car in Offaly Aldi carpark as gardaí issue statement

Gardaí are investigating after belongings were stolen from a car in the carpark of an Aldi supermarket in Offaly on Monday.

They incident happened in Edenderry on Monday afternoon when a car was broken into and a number of items, including clothing, were stolen.

Gardaí have confirmed they are investigating a "theft from a vehicle at a commercial premises on the Dublin Road in Edenderry, Co. Offaly on Monday afternoon, 15th July 2024."

It's understood that money and work items were also taken in the incident, prompting locals to call for CCTV to be installed in the carpark and surrounding areas. 

They say investigations are ongoing.
