Pearl Scally celebrating her 25th Run with her mum Mairead
There was an excellent atmosphere last Saturday morning, at Bord na Móna Mountlucas Wind Farm.
It was a beautiful Easter Saturday morning for Mountlucas parkrun number #216 at Mountlucas Windfarm. Over 60 people ran, walked and volunteered in the sunshine.
Bord na Móna, owners of the site at Mountlucas, kindly provided Easter eggs for all participants, greatly adding to the festive spirit.
The organisers gave a great welcome to visitors Derry Devine and Angela Ndaba, all the way from Cape Town South Africa.
Finbar Redmond, a regular Mountlucas parkrun runner and volunteer ran his 100th parkrun on the day. He was supported by his partner Janie Buckley and one of the volunteers, Karen Neary, baked and decorated a beautiful cake to celebrate the occasion.
There was also a shout out to Pearl Scally who celebrated her 25th run the previous week. Well done to Finbar and Pearl.
