Volunteers wanted; Tullamore Tidy Towns group to hold 'Spring Clean' this weekend

Tullamore Tidy Towns prepare for a big clean up this weekend on Saturday next, March 28, as part of the national An Taisce Annual Spring Clean. The local voluntary group are inviting all local community groups, individuals, residents' associations and businesses to help give local areas a spring clean for the year ahead

Last weekend the group tackled a litter black spot on the Tullamore River at Millennium Bridge at the back of the Bridge Centre, collecting 21 bags of cans, plastic, bottles, runners, kids shoes, toys, jackets, pots, discarded takeaway containers, traffic cones and a beautiful vintage black bag of nappies.

The group are meeting in O'Connor Square from 10am on Saturday - email info@tullamoretidytowns.ie or call Shane 0879546620 - hiviz, bags, brushes, tools and refreshments provided. All welcome.
