'I will miss you every day' - Offaly singer Simon Casey leads tributes after death of mother
Popular Offaly singer Simon Casey has led tributes to his mother after her sad death in recent days.
The Ballycumber man and former RTE You're A Star contestant, posted on social media to say: "My beautiful Mam passed away yesterday with all of us by her side. I will miss you every day Mam."
Teresa Casey passed away peacefully on November 23 surrounded by her family. Her RIP.ie death notice says she is "survived by and will be greatly missed by her loving husband Len, her devoted children Suzanne, Leonard, Terence, Simon & Conrad, brother Oliver, sisters Kathleen, Rita (Rahan, Co. Offaly) Rosaleen (UK) & Mary-Bridget (UK).
"She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren, Harry, Lucy, Susie, Joe, James, Charlie, Thomas, Grace, Mella, John, Conn & Tadhg, son in law Robbie, daughters in law, Kay, Stephanie, Denise & Méabh, brother in law George, sisters in law Ruth, Caroline & Vilma along with her nieces, nephews, extended family and many good friends," it added.
Other family and friends shared beautiful tributes on RIP.ie. One read: "We were very sad to hear of Auntie Teresa's passing. Our sympathies are with you all. She was a lovely person and too good for this world. May she find peace in God's presence."
Another wrote: "Our sincere sympathy to the Casey and Buckley families and the extended families on the death of Teresa, a lovely lady. May her gentle soul rest in peace."
Funeral Arrangements:
Reposing at The Granary, adjacent to St Manchan’s Church Boher, Ballycumber, Co. Offaly (Eircode R35 NX30) on Monday 25th November 2024 from 4pm-8pm.
Removal from her home on Tuesday morning 26th November 2024, for requiem mass at 11am in St. Manchan's Church, Boher, (Eircode R35 NX30) followed by interment in adjoining cemetery.
