Successful Offaly company plan major expansion

Offaly dairy company Glenisk have advertised their intentions to submit plans for a major upgrade of their facility in Killeigh, Co. Offaly.

Glenisk, based beside the Cleary family farm in Killeigh, has been producing organic yogurt and milks for more than sixteen years, promoting and working towards a vision of an 'organic Ireland.'

This vision has seen them growing their ambitions, culminating in these development plans which will be lodged with Offaly County Council in the coming days.

The company plan to construct a 1,124sqm ground floor extension as well as a 162sqm extension to their main building.

The development will involve the removal of existing storage tanks and chiller unit, demolition of existing temporary chill storage rooms, storage sheds, toilet areapartial demolition of boundary wall, as well as the partial trimming of hedgerows and removal of existing trees affected by a proposed new site entrance.

Offaly County Council will consider the proposals.
