Siobhan and Gary Smyth - Floor Store Direct - National Flooring Awards UK & Ireland

A Midlands-based flooring company has been recognised at a major industry event after winning Restoration of the Year at the National Flooring Awards for the UK and Ireland.

Floorstore Direct, headed by Siobhan and Gary Smyth, received the award at a ceremony held in Newcastle last weekend, which formed part of the Momentum Conference, an annual gathering of flooring professionals from across the UK and Ireland.

The award recognises excellence in wood floor restoration and sanding, an area in which Floorstore Direct has developed a strong reputation. Judges cited the quality of workmanship and attention to detail involved in the winning restoration project.

Siobhan and Gary Smyth, who are both natives of Birr, attended the awards ceremony and conference, describing the recognition as a significant honour for the business and its team.

Founded in the Midlands, Floorstore Direct now operates showrooms in Tullamore and Galway, serving both residential and commercial customers nationwide. The company specialises in wood flooring installation as well as the restoration of existing floors, using a combination of traditional craftsmanship and modern techniques.

The national award places Floorstore Direct among leading flooring specialists operating across Ireland and the UK, highlighting the presence of high-level expertise within the Midlands.
