THE Dublin City Jazz Orchestra promises a big night of big sounds this Sunday October 23 with music from the 40’s and 50’s along with some more modern exhilarating tunes – some especially written for this ensemble by Irish composers. This 17 piece big band are not to be missed!

Spellbound Theatre Company’s production of The Lonesome West comes to Birr Theatre & Arts Centre on Friday October 28. The third instalment in Martin McDonagh’s award-winning Leenane Trilogy, this is the inaugural full-length production by this group whose aim is to produce small-scale theatre with a big impact, exploring provocative new writing and contemporary classics by passionate playwrights.

Mundy and The Painbirds play on Saturday October 29. Promoting his new album Shuffle, a collection of mainly his favourite American songs it sees Mundy glancing through a songbook that influenced his own writing down the years. This night is a left hand turn off the road, loads of great energy and great songs that makes for a great tour!
