GLENROE’S Mary McEvoy, better known to RTE viewers as ‘Biddy’ was the guest speaker at the launch of Edenderry artist Willie Redmond’s exhibition.
Cllr Noel Bourke has congratulated Mr Redmond on the opening of an Exhibition of his paintings at the offices of Offaly County Council on Friday last.
“The Exhibition is one of the best I have seen in the special exhibition space in the county buildings and attracted a large attendance to the opening,” said Cllr Bourke who added that he was delighted to be there at an event for an Edenderry person.
Cllr Bourke said that many of the paintings on display were of locations in the north east Offaly area and these attracted a lot of attention.
“The Exhibition continues until April 1 and I would encourage people to visit it and see for themselves the quality of the work on display,” said Cllr Bourke.
Mr Redmond is a native of Castleview Park in Edenderry.
