THERE was a great crowd on the Main Street to watch the colourful floats and groups in the St Patrick’s Day parade on Sunday last.

This year’s floats were of a very high standard and first prize was shared between St Rynagh’s Primary School and Banagher College.

Well done to all those who took part, those involved in producing the floats and costumes, those who decorated the town for the occasion, householders and shops who decorated windows, and the stewards who prepared the route of the parade.

See this Tuesday’s Offaly Express (March 20) for full report and plenty of pictures from the Banagher Parade. On sale now
