Lyrical recitations and spoken word events will be on the menu at this year’s Slieve Bloom Storytelling Festival, which takes place at various venues from October 8 to October 11.
The launch night with an open session will take place on Wednesday, October 8, in the Slieve Bloom Bar, Kinnitty.
Pat Speight, from Cork, and Jim Maher, from Kilkenny, will be accompanied by local storytellers, singers and musicians for an evening’s entertainment. Admission is free.
Then on Thursday October 9, at Roundwood House in Mountrath, there will be a meal and show starting at 7pm. Admission is €35
There will be a show taking place on Friday October 10, at 8pm in Leap Castle, Roscrea. Admission is €10.
Finally, on Saturday October 11, there will be a show at 8pm in the community centre, Aghancon. Admission is €10.
