Hugh Lynch’s are delighted to be part of this year’s Tullamore Arts festival. To celebrate we will be hosting three varied shows upstairs and offering them to the public at a substantially reduced cover charge of just €5. Gigs include; The Legend of Luke Kelly, Ham Sandwich, and Karl Spain and Fred Cooke. All tickets will be available on from the Venue or Ticketmaster.ie
On Friday May 4, Hugh Lynch’s will host The Legend of Luke Kelly show. Lead singer Chris Kavanagh bears a remarkable resemblance to Luke, while his singing talents capture the depth and passion of the great man. He is joined on stage by accomplished musicians who all consider it an honour to bring Luke’s memory to the stage in the ultimate tribute to the King of Balladeers.
Ham Sandwich perform upstairs at Lynch’s on Saturday May 5. You never know what to expect from a Ham Sandwich gig. Ham Sandwich have been around and about in one very interesting shape or another since 2003, but it wasn’t until the autumn of 2005 – with the release of their debut single, ‘Sad Songs’ – that they began to be known outside their home county of Meath.
It’s comedy with Karl Spain & Fred Cooke on Sunday May 6. Karl is probably best known in Ireland for his TV series Karl Spain Wants a Woman which was a huge success in that he not only got huge ratings but he also found himself a woman. Fred Cooke has rapidly become a unique stand-up delivering a style of comedy that simply cannot be imitated. You might know him from the Spar Ads.
All Gigs are just €5. For more details log onto www.hughlynchs.com or call Emmet on 087 250 5422.
