The mass will be celebrated by the Staff, Students and Friends of The Academy of Music, Tullamore. The Tullamore Academy Chamber Choir has put a great deal of time and rehearsals into a sacred repertoire directed by Ciarán Brady which will showcase the talents of it’s members and that of organist Adam Collins ,who is the Organ Scholar at the Pro-Cathedral in Dublin. Celebrant is Monsignor Bernard Noonan, PP VG and it is sure to be a memorable service.
Since it’s inception, The Tullamore Academy Chamber Choir has gone from strength
to strength under the the direction of Ciarán Brady, competing and performing at the very top of the Chamber Choir circuit.
In 2012 they won the coveted title of National Choir of the Year in Navan. In November 2013 the choir raised it’s own bar by competing in the Welsh Choral Festival and claiming third place against choirs from the length and breadth of the British Isles.
The Tullamore Academy Chamber Choir will be performing again at the annual Organ
Festival in Tullamore on July 1. This is a superb opportunity to see and hear the choir perform both complex and entertaining work by composers such as Eric Whitacre and Moses Hogan.
