The Salty Dog at
Electric Picnic

WITH less than three weeks to go until this year’s Electric Picnic, things are starting to shape up with a stellar line up and all the usual trimmings that have made the Stradbally festival a must see for music fans. WITH less than three weeks to go until this year’s Electric Picnic, things are starting to shape up with a stellar line up and all the usual trimmings that have made the Stradbally festival a must see for music fans. As well as all the main stage acts, one of the forest favourites, The Salty Dog has announced its line up.

Following a warm up gig on the main stage, the colossal rabble of folksters from Bellowhead—the whole lot—will attempt to fit on deck, as will the sublime chaos of Ham Sandwich, and the purveyors of fun Tieranniesaur. Bluegrass legends Two Time Polka travel north from Cork (as do Fred), and over from Britain are coming Morton Valance, Lois and the Love, and Black Friday, plus jaw-dropping percussionist Simon Spoons, as well as Jerry Fish, The Cujo Family and The Mighty Stef.

This is but a taste of what is to come as the weekend always throws up some surprises, but one thing is guaranteed for music fans, that they are in for the musical treat of the summer. Check out www.electricpicnic.ie for more information or visit them on Facebook.
