Blue September is part of an international campaign that seeks to tackle the fact that men are more likely to develop cancer than women and that men are less likely to discuss their personal health concerns with family, friends or their GP.

Blue September is a fun way of delivering this message. More information can be found on www.blueseptember.ie

The 49th FBD Queen of the Land Festival in partnership with the Irish Farmers Journal will take place from November 8 to 10 in the Bridge House Hotel, Tullamore.

Once again, the organisers are delighted to have FBD as main sponsors of the festival together with the Irish Farmer’s Journal as main media sponsors. The esteemed judging panel this year consists of reigning Queen of the Land Teresa Marie Brennan, FBD representative Amanda Brennan and guest judge, RTE Radio One’s Damian O’Reilly.

The ever popular Bernard O’Shea will perform on Friday night, Deuces Wild will return again this year to entertain the crowds on Saturday night and Robert Mizzell will round off the weekend by playing at our gala banquet on Sunday night.

It promises to be a great weekend and we look forward to seeing you all at the festival.
