FOLLOWING a highly-successful debut performance in Birr last year, the Ballymore Connect Choir will return to the town for another uplifting concert on Saturday next February 7th at 4pm in St Brendan’s Church of Ireland, Oxmantown Mall.

The concert will once again provide a beautiful setting for an afternoon of choral music drawn from the worlds of stage, screen and popular song.

Founded in 2019, the Ballymore Connect Choir is one of the largest community choirs in County Kildare. With a current membership of almost 100 singers (including Birr native Aoife Garry) over 60 voices will take part in this Birr performance.

Under the musical direction of Owen C. Lynch, the choir presents a varied and engaging programme including What a Wonderful World, The Rainbow Connection, Red Is the Rose, Go Lassie Go and Song Sung Blue, along with much-loved songs from Oklahoma, Singin’ in the Rain, The Sound of Music and more.
