“Pretend Sick” follows the widowed life of Katie Lagan who has spent many years pretending to be “at death's door”, and suffering from a variety of illnesses.
But it seems that he man reason for pretending to be sick is to keep her only daughter, Mary from leaving home.
Another reason is revealed during the course of this exciting production.

The other main character in the play is Katie's son, Sean who is fond of the drink and is very happy to have his sister at home cooking and cleaning for him.
Mary's romantic life is also going nowhere and she has been seeing Martin Puddler for a decade with no sign of weddings bells.
The playwright is the award winning Michael J. Ginnelly.
