A number of Offaly people have recently been hit by fraudsters claiming to be selling tickets for the upcoming Coldplay concerts in Croke Park at the end of August, beginning of September.
“The victims part with their money,” said a Garda spokesperson, “but the tickets never arrive.
"We are appealing to people who are seeking tickets to please buy them from Ticketmaster or other legitimate sources.
"There is excellent advice on our Garda website Garda.ie about the crimes of fraud, deception and phishing.”
