NiaLive Senior Competition
Earlier this week, three of the club’s athletes travelled to Abbotstown in Dublin to take part in the NiaLive. James Dunne and Matthew Molloy competed in the 1500m. James ran 4.01 after going through 800m in 1.59. Matthew ran a new PB of 4.12 for the distance as he continues to progress. Aaron Mangan, just back from illness, ran a fast 400m in 51:2. Well done all.
Spring League Round 1
Well done to all who lined out for Round 1 of the Spring League on Tuesday evening, February 19. Race 1 was a 5k on the tarmac track. Jason Donegan was a clear winner in 16.42 with his sister Nadine first lady in 18.52. Great running by all on a blustery damp evening. Next round is the McNamara 5 Mile race on Sunday, March 3. The final race in the league is the Burlington mile Tuesday, April 2. The team captains of this year's league are Jay Donegan, Tara McKinney, Paul Shaw and Fallen Conlon. Sean Lowry Memorial 5k
Paul Mitchell won the Sean Lowry Memorial 5k, hosted by Birr, on Sunday, February 24 with a great time of 16.16. Paul Buckley (Ferbane AC) was second in 16:26, and another Tullamore Harrier, Mick O'Brien, was third in a time of 16.59. Jonathan Dunne was sixth overall in 18.23. Nita McLoughlin was first lady in 20.04, followed by Maria Maher (Ballyskenach AC) in 21.17, and Carmel Murray from the host club Birr AC was third lady in 21.59. Well done to you all.

Happy Retirement to Ann Coughlan
Best wishes to Ann Coughlan, pictured above, on her retirement after 25 years with Tullamore Harriers. A presentation was made to Ann by Club Chairman Adrian Curley at the AGM on Monday night, February 18. Ann has been a long-standing member of the club and has held many honorary positions over the years. She has given many hours of hard work and supported our many events and competitions. You will be missed Ann and thank you for everything.

Tullamore Harriers 5k - Race 1 in Offaly Road Race Series
The Tullamore Harriers Annual 5k will be run off on Sunday March 24 at 10am. On closed roads, and on a flat course, this race is definitely one for a fast time! This race is the first race of the 2019 Offaly 5k Road Race series and offers prizes in all age groups. Pre-register www.popupraces.ie or register on the day from 8.30am.
Tullamore Harriers Half Marathon 2019
Registration is now open for the 2019 Tullamore Harriers Quinlan Cup Half Marathon. The 7th annual event will take place on Saturday, August 31, 2019. Last year we sold out early and unfortunately many were disappointed they didn’t make the cut off of 1000 entries. Again this year we will cap the entries at 1,000 so please register to secure your place. The relay race will go ahead again this year. The Leinster and Offaly Half Marathon Championships will be incorporated into this year's race. Every year we get huge positive feedback from participants and spectators alike who praise the friendly atmosphere and quality of the Tullamore Harriers Half Marathon.
