Offaly kayakers to represent Leinster Special Olympics team

Their achievement is a first for Offaly

For the first time ever, two Offaly natives will feature as part of the Leinster Special Olympics kayaking team.

Oisín Feery (17) and Moira Scott (14), both members of Tullamore Canoe Club (TUCC), qualified last June in the regional finals of the 200m and 500m kayaking sprints.

Their respective times earned them a place on the Leinster team, which will compete in the Ireland Games from the 14th to the 17th June.

Oisín, from Ballycommon, is a member of Ballinamere Special Olympics club and Moira, from Tullamore, is a member of St. Joesph's Special Olympics club.

Oisín and Moira are hugely proud to represent their clubs and supporters on the Leinster team.
