Offaly graduates were amongst those who recently received the QQI (Quality Qualifications Ireland) Level 5 Health Care Support Major Award Certificate.
The graduates are part of a Community Employment Scheme in the Midland Region sponsored by Family Cares Ireland. The training programme was funded by The Department of Social Protection. The graduates come from across the region covering counties, Laois, Offaly, Westmeath, Longford.
The training unit of Family Carers Ireland is a Quality Qualifications Ireland accredited training department delivering QQI Modules and additional training programmes to up-skill and support care staff in the provision of care across all services.
The delivery of care related services is evolving and we need to be in a position to respond to these needs and ensure care staff have the required skills, knowledge, competence and confidence to work in a range of services and with diverse groups requiring care.
