Details of roads to be treated in snow and ice in Offaly this winter

Offaly County Council has revealed details of its Winter Service for 2020-2021 wit roads to be treated on a priority basis from Priority 1 to Priority 3 across four areas in the county.

The four area maps are included above. Use the arrow in the top corner or swipe to go through them.

Full details of all the routes to be treated are included below.

Priority 1 Routes are to be treated during all weather events. These routes are essential to be kept serviceable in all weather conditions as far as reasonably practicable.

Priority 2 Routes are to be treated as part of the normal winter service but may be dropped if salt supply is low or there may be interruptions to treatment in severe weather events. These routes which are desirable to be kept serviceable in the normal winter weather conditions, as far as reasonably practicable.

Priority 3 Routes are routes that could be kept serviceable once Priority 1 and 2 routes have been treated, if resources allow
