Offaly Hospice has led tributes to the late Barbara Doyle of Tullamore, a dedicated former member of their board who passed away recently.

“It is with great sadness that we heard of the passing of Barbara Doyle, a former Board Member of Offaly Hospice Foundation,” a tribute from them on social media said.

“Barbara gave many years of dedicated service to Offaly Hospice and was a wonderful friend and supporter of our organisation. Her good-humour, positive and gentle nature made her such a pleasure to know and work alongside.

“Barbara gave generously of her time and herself to Offaly Hospice, and her contribution will always be remembered and greatly appreciated. We feel very fortunate to have had her for so many years as part of Offaly Hospice,” the tribute added.

Offaly Hospice extended its heartfelt sympathy to Barbara’s family Desmond, Louise, Claire and Des, her grandchildren, her sons in law and daughter in law and all who knew and loved Barbara at this very sad time.

Esker Arts Centre in Tullamore also posted a tribute: “The staff at Esker Arts are saddened to learn of the passing of Barbara Doyle.

“Barbara Doyle was the wife of former member of the Board of Directors at Esker Arts and Chairman of Tullamore Community Arts Centre, Des Doyle. Barbara was a great supporter of Esker Arts and she and her husband were integral to the creation of the arts centre.

“Our thoughts are with Des and all Barbara's family at this difficult time.

“Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam,” Esker Arts Centre said.
