The Offaly men's darts team have become All-Ireland champions. The team, consisting of more than 30 players, won the competition for the first time in Ennis on Sunday. The team overcame the stern challenge of Donegal in the final as they fought their way to a 7-6 win on the oche.

Speaking afterwards, a team member described it as the team's "sweetest moment," saying that some team members had been "trying to win this thing for over 18 years."

He said that "they deserved to be in this position" and congratulated his team on becoming All-Ireland champions. You can watch the ceremony in which the team were announced to stage, given an incredibly sporting guard of honour by the runners-up, Donegal, and presented with their winner's medal and trophy by the Irish National Darts Organisation.
