Killeigh claim league title in style

KILLEIGH Ramblers wrapped up the Division 3A title in style at home on Sunday morning with a hugely impressive 6-0 win over Rochfortbridge.

Three goals in a ten minute spell before half-time put them in poll position and they were never threatened in the second-half adding another trio of goals in the final 20 minutes to round off the win.

Over the 90 minutes the home side dominated totalling 27 shots with a dozen of those on target.

Playing against the wind in the first-half, Killeigh had plenty of opportunities but it took until Glen Rafferty headed home in the 35th minute to open their account and visibly settle the nerves and they pushed on from there to win.
