Last Wednesday in Portlaoise Soccer club clubhouse at Rossleighan Park the draw was made for two U-15 and two U-16 competitions between clubs from the MSL and KDUL .

There is a cup and shield competition for both age groups with quarter and semi final ties both two legged games

This is the first ever schoolboy competition between the two leagues and it is hoped that in coming seasons the leagues will work together at many age groups in an effort to provide football for players in the leagues areas.

The idea to have this competition was provided by the secretarys of both leagues Karl Bond (MSL) and Pat McNally (KDUL) and is seen as a strengthening of football in the area.

Clubs will be emailed with a list of the rules which they need to study before playing. There are differences in the away goal rules ,extra time will only take place in finals and no roll on roll of sub rule .

The quarter final draw are as follows

Bush Celtic v Killavilla Utd ,Derry Rovers v Sallins Celtic (green),Arlington v Mucklagh and St Annes v Newbridge Twn

U-15 Cup
