Four goal Foran fires Rovers to victory
Derry Rovers second team returned to league action last Sunday afternoon with a trip to Kilcormac to take on a side who lie bottom of the division.
CCFL Division 4B
Kilcormac Utd B 0
Derry Rovers B 6
An excellent display saw them chalk up six goals without reply to record a comfortable win. The three points mean they stay on the tail of the top two who were not playing Sunday which made it vital for Rovers to win and in turn keep their good run going since their return to action in January.
They were expected to win and probably win at a canter as the home side had been suffering heavy defeats in games so really the pressure was on to deliver the goods on the day. In football nothing is ever certain so it was about been professional and getting the job done if they played like they can in recent games.
On what was a great day for football weather wise Rovers played with the breeze and they took control from the whistle.
