Olympian John Joe Nevin puts Tullamore students through their paces

Olympian John Joe Nevin, instructors and graduates at the ceremony held at the Midlands Martial Arts and Training Centre for members of Rehab Care.

A very special graduation ceremony was held at the Midlands Martial Arts and Training Centre for members of Rehab Care who had been attending a Tai Chi and Kickboxing programme that had been running at the centre.

Attending the ceremony was a very special guest - Ireland’s Olympic boxer John Joe Nevin - who was very impressed by the skills that the students showed.

The graduates were not only presented with their certificates by the Olympic boxer but he also put a few of them through their paces!

The Tai Chi program is designed to suit older clients concentrating on improving mobilityand flexibility, with the Kickboxing program, for younger users being an active fun filled program concentrating on building strength and concentration.
