Kennedy misses out on European Final place

TULLAMORE Harriers athlete Gordon Kennedy has bowed out of the 400 metres at the European Championships in Barcelona at the semi-final stage.

The Tullamore Harriers athlete was in contention coming into the final 100 metres but his brave effort just faded coming to the line.

Gordon ran a time of 46.72 seconds, just outside his season's best in intense heat in arguably the most competitive men's event at the championships.
