IT has emerged that interim Offaly Senior Football manager Tom Coffey will not be seeking the job on a full-time basis due to work commitments.

The Rhode man took control earlier this year when Gerry Cooney stepped aside at the end of the league. Coffey had withdrawn from the original process to find a new manager last year when it took too long to make an appointment.

He had expressed a desire to take the job on a full-time basis however it has now emerged that work commitments means he will not be in the running. He explained that his job with Tullamore Renault comes first leaving the Offaly County Board to try and find yet another new manager whose first job will be to get the county out of Division 4.
