Quarter-final line up completed for Offaly Senior Hurling Championship

Despite the fact that two games fell foul of the weather last weekend and are yet to be played, the quarter-final line up for the Aidan Bracken Buliding Design Offaly Senior Hurling Championship is now known.

Pick of the ties pits table toppers in Group 1 Coolderry against St Rynagh’s who finished fourth in Group 2 after their defeat to Belmont at the weekend.

After their narrow win over Shinrone, Group 2 winners Birr will take on last year’s Intermediate Champions Brosna Gaels who suffered a heavy defeat to Coolderry last weekend.

Shinrone finished second in Group 2 and their reward is a showdown with Seir Kieran who still have one group game to go after their game with Shamrocks was postponed.

The last of the quarter-finals pits two teams who finished the group stages with a win. Kilcormac/Killoughey ended Kinnitty’s season with their win while Belmont had an impressive win over St Rynagh’s.

The picture at the other of the table is no clearer as Shamrocks still await the loser of the game between Drumcullen and Tullamore in the relegation final. The relegation final however will only be played if the Intermediate Championship is won by a team who can be promoted,
