No decisions on Offaly management teams

NO decisions were made on Offaly management teams for 2011 at the August County Board Meeting which was held on Tuesday (July 27).

County Board Chairman Pat Teehan said that Joe Dooley wanted more time to consider his decision while he added that Stephen Byrne does not want to remain on as Under 21 Hurling manager.

On the football side, Mr Teehan told delegates that Tom Cribbin had expressed a desire to stay on as Senior Manager but he would not be looking to take the Under 21s as well.

After a lenghty 25 minute debate which touched on every aspect of the inter-county teams (from finances to performaces and from players not car pooling to get to training to comments made by Tom Cribbin during the year about the County Board and all points in between) the small number of delegates present agreed that two seven man committees (one hurling & one football) should be established to look at the appointment of managers for 2011.
