Travellers Movement
Tullamore Travellers Movement will hold its annual general meeting on Wednesday, March 24 at 7pm in its Harbour Street premises.
Tullamore Active Retirement Association
Tullamore Active Retirement Assocation Spring Holiday this year is to Ostan Loch Alton, in Gortnahork, Co Donegal from April 26 to 29 inclusive. Four nights B/B with dinner each evening. Cost is n275 per perso
n sharing. This includes coach pick up from Court Hotel wirh coach tours each day during the holiday and return journey to Court Hotel on March 30. Non members are welcome.

Important Talk for Parents
Parents who would like to find out more information about a whole host of issues which could affect their child are invited to attend a very important Information Evening which has been organised jointly by the Parents Associations of Ballinamere and Mucklagh National Schools in the Bridge House Hotel this evening Wednesday, March 10 at 7.30pm.
Two experts in the field of child development, Angela McCabe, a Neuro-Development and Sound Therapist and Sean Callagy, HANDLE Screener and Dorn and Bowen Practitioner, will address topics such as: learning difficulties; anxiety states; autistic features; hyperactivity; dyslexia; unknown fears; social phobias; balance and co-ordination; lack of confidence and poor con-centration. Admission is n5.

Tullamore Toastmasters
Tullamore Toastmasters had a pleasant meeting on Thursday last. The speeches were interesting and the topics excellent.
A member of Athlone Toastmasters gave a very good speech entitled the 'North Wind' which was used in the evaluation speech contest. The winner of that contest was Glen Quinn. Next meeting is on Thursday, March 18 at 8.30pm in Day's Hotel Main Street. All welcome.

Tullamore Comhaltas
Tullamore CCE's annual concert takes place in the Bridge House Hotel on Friday, March 12 at 8pm. The concert features Noel Battle, Mick Foster & Moira Fraiser, Shane Lynam, Noel Devery and dancers, The Dalys and a selection of tunes from the junior and senior classes. A new DVD on bodhran making featuring Bill Daly master bodhran maker will also be launched.
Music sessions continue on the second Tuesday of every month in Joe Lee's and on the last Friday of the month in Annie Kelly's. Tullamore CCE Gig Rig group playing at the St Patrick's Day Parade.

Ballinamere GAA Club
Letto: There was no jackpot winner this week. The letters drawn were M, K, P, U. The n20 winners were: Sinead Wyer, Ballykilmurray; Liam Mooney, Mucklagh; Kitty Mc Nally Ballykilmurray. Next week's jackpot is n13,600. Draw takes place at 10.15pm in the committee rooms.
Division 1 HL: Ballinamere were defeated by Tullamore on the narrowest of margins in the Divison 1 Hurling league last Friday evening on a score line of 0-11 to Tullamore's 2-6. Division 2 HL: Ballinamere emerged winners over Drumcullen in the Divison 2 Hurling league last Thursday evening on a score line of 3-7 to 0-7. Ballinamere: Cormac Spollen, Christy Corroon, Johnaton McEvoy David Conway, David Fox, Adrian Gaffey, Philip Mc Dermott, Ronan Lally, (0-1), Andy Hoctor, Stephen Kidney, Ronan Spollen, Derek Wyer (0-1), Alan Scully (2-4) Anthony Kearns (1-0), Kevin Wyer. Subs Shane Buggy for Christy Corroon , Ciaran Buggy (0-1) for Adrian Gaffey.
Division 4 HL: On Saturday evening last Ballinamere third team travelled to Killurn and got a convincing win of 2-19 to 0-12. Road Puc: Thanks to all who supported the Road Puc last Sunday morning. A great day was had by all.
Sympathy: The club extends sympathy to Joe & Concepta Duffy (nee McEvoy Aharney) on the recent death of Joe's mother Kate Duffy Endrim Ferbane.
Meeting: A committee meeting takes place on Wednesday night at 8.30pm in the committee rooms.

Ballinamere/Durrow Minor Club
The club will be marching in this years St. Patricks Day parade, everyone will be meeting in Dunnes Stores, Bridge Centre carpark at 11am and the pick up point after the parade will be at Beverley's Hair Salon on the Arden Road.

Durrow GAA Club

Progressive 25's continue every Wednesday night in the hall, first deal at 9.30 pm, all welcome.
Training continues on Tuesdays and Fridays at 8.00pm and Sundays at 8.30am for all hurling and football players.
Membership is now due for the coming year and can be paid to club registrar Davis Fox or any committee member.
The annual senior citizen party will take place on Sunday, March 28 in Durrow Hall, all are welcome.
Durrow Golf Society: The weekend away takes place in the Slieve Russell on Friday and Saturday, April 16 and 17. Anyone wishing to travel should contact this years captain Padraig McDermott.
