Edenderry Library will hold an exhibition entitled ‘Select’ by local artist Willie Redmond. It includes a slection of his work from recent and upcoming shows, hence the title ‘Select’. Willie, who is originally from Edenderry is now based in Dublin. He specialises in acrylics, oils, pastels and mixed medium. The exhibition will run from January 31 to February 28.

Unislim Classes take place at the Parish Centre every Tuesday from 5.30pm – 6.30pm. There is now an extra class at 9.30am on Wednesdays

Computer Classes will be taking place at Edenderry Library for children from 6 years – 12 years. Ladies Tug-O-War

The Boynesiders Tug-o-War Team, made up of members from Edenderry & Carbury are looking for ladies to form a ladies team. They train at Edenderry Rugby Club on Tuesdays & Fridays at 8pm and they welcome all ladies to come along any night to their training sessions. The International Friends Group in Edenderry meets every Friday morning between 10am - 12 noon. The group meets for tea, coffee, and computer classes.

Senior league: Edenderry seniors return to action on Tuesday February 7th against Erin Rovers in Pollough at 8pm.

Junior league: Edenderry junior footballers have their first outing of the year this Sunday in Clara at Noon.

St Mary’s secondary school: Well done to all at St Mary’s secondary school on their great win over Athy last week. They now take on Athlone CC Saturday week in the Leinster quarter final.

FBD Connaught League final: Hard luck to Senior footballer Stephen Guing who was midfield for NUIG in the FBD Connaught league final last Friday against Mayo. On the night Mayo ran out deserving winners on a scoreline of 0-14 0-4.

David Hanlon: It’s great news to hear that David ‘Rodge’ Hanlon should be back available to Offaly this weekend after almost a month out injured. David was injured New Years Day while playing for Offaly seniors vs Carlow.
