THE Offaly Dyslexia Group (Offaly Branch of DAI) is celebrating its second birthday by holding a street collection/flag day on Easter Saturday, April 23.

The Offaly Dyslexia group appeals to their many friends and supporters to come out and spend just two hours celebrating with the group and raising public awareness about Dyslexia.

Members of the Offaly Dyslexia group committee will be manning an information stand in the Bridge Centre, answering questions and giving advice to families affected by dyslexia. Parents wishing to enrol children in the workshops will be able to do so on the day. They will also be taking names of adults who are interested in Adult workshops/classes.

The Offaly Dyslexia group provide support, advice and literacy workshops for children with dyslexia. Currently they are based at St Mary’s Youth Centre, Tullamore, on Monday nights from 5 -7pm. They have 9 tutors tutoring 32 students in both Primary and Secondary level and they hope in the very near future to extend their services to accommodate adults too.
