WATERWORKS? is the title of an illustrated lecture on the influence of water in music, which will be presented by AnnNoelle Bennett in the Bridge House Hotel on Wednesday, September 28 at 8pm.

This musical evening, open to all music lovers, is the first event in the autumn/winter programme of Tullamore Business & Professional Women’s Club.

AnnNoelle Bennett is very popular with Tullamore audiences, as those who attended her talk entitled “From the Monks to Madonna” two years ago can testify. Waterworks? will trace how composers conveyed the sounds of water/rain in music, ranging from Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, Debussy’s Le Mer, Handel’s Water Music, The Blue Danube by Strauss, to songs such as Singing in the Rain and It’s Raining Men. Admission €10.
