Top honours for Gaelscoil in CUDA table quiz

GAELSCOIL an Eiscir Riada Tullamore won the National Final of the CUDA Credit Union table quiz in Navan, prior to St Patrick’s weekend.

GAELSCOIL an Eiscir Riada Tullamore won the National Final of the CUDA Credit Union table quiz in Navan, prior to St Patrick’s weekend.

Although successful in the regional finals over the years this is the first time that the school team won the national title.

It was a particularly noteworthy acheivement for these girls - Roisin Ni Bhriain, Maeve Ni Mhathuna, Megan De Ghrás, Emily De Ghrás and Niamh Ni Mhácain - as they had come third in this years Regional Final but with hard work and study managed to garner top honours.

Well done also to Ballinamere NS - Mark McConnell, Liam Og Delaney, Jack Dolan, Brian Cleary and Faolán O’Brien - who finished third.

Gaelscoil an Eiscir Riada, Ballinamere NS and Scoil Mhuire, Tullamore (Caoimhe Griffin, Emma O’Connor, Muireann Griffin, Lydia Coyne and Tara Daly) were representing Tullamore Credit Union at the CUDA National Finals following on from their wins in the senior category at Tullamore Credit Union’s annual school quiz.

The CUDA finals are a hotly contested annual event held between twelve Credit Unions around the country who all sent three teams forward to participate.

Tullamore Credit Union would like to thank all the children who participated and extend thanks to the teachers who prepared the children so well for the competition.
