Stunning final round enough for second place for Lowry in Dubai

Shane Lowry shot a stunning nine under par final round of 63 at the end of season DP World Tour event in Dubai in Sunday.

Lowry started the day on nine under par and his sensational round, which included ten birdies, saw him shoot from 16th to 2nd on the leaderboard, just one behind eventual winner Jon Rahm.

Lowry started the day with two birdies before hitting the sole bogey of his final round in the 3rd.

He made three more birdies before the turn and continued that stunning form into the back nine.

He managed four birdies between the 10th and 15th holes and finished out his round with another birdie at 18.

Lowry shot up the Race to Dubai rankings in the process of his stunning final round. The Race to Dubai was won by Englishman Tommy Fleetwood after Justin Rose stuttered to three bogeys late in his round.
