Two Offaly players to start for Ireland Women's team against Scotland in Six Nations

The Offaly duo of Niamh Kavanagh and Ailsa Hughes will start for Ireland this Friday in the Six Nations opener against Scotland this Friday evening in Glasgow.

A third Offaly player, Tullamore's Nichola Fryday is named among the replacements. 

A former Camogie All Ireland winner with Offaly, Tullamore native Ailsa Hughes will be making her debut at the pivotal scrum-half position while Walsh Island native Niamh Kavanagh will be on the wing. The UL Bohemians and Munster player will be winning her 18th cap for Ireland.

Versatile Forward Nichola Fryday is in line to win her second cap.

The game takes place in the Broadwood Stadium, Glasgow on Friday with a kick-off time of 6.35pm and is live on RTE 2.
