AFTER dominating the first-half where they built 0-7 to 0-2 lead, St Michael’s seemed to be cruising towards securing another U-21 title.

However St Manchan’s came out like a new team in the second half and played with confidence that was absent in the first-half. They outscored St Michael’s in the second-half by 2-4 to 1-4 but their poor display in the first 30 minutes left them too big a mountain to climb.
St Michael’s have dominated the Under 21 grade in recent times winning seven titles since 1999 including five in a row from 2002 to 2007.
