Tullamore triathletes compete in Loughrea

A number of Tullamore Triathlets participated in the Loughrea Sprint Triathlon in early Septemebr. This triathlon consisted of a 750m swim, a 20Km cycle and a 5Km run.

A number of Tullamore Triathlets participated in the Loughrea Sprint Triathlon in early Septemebr. This triathlon consisted of a 750m swim, a 20Km cycle and a 5Km run.

For many this was their first triathlon, so hopefully we’ll see more appearances next year. The results were as follows:

Philip Serviss (132) 1:27:10 with splits of 16:29, 44:27 and 20:59. Leonard Owens (171) with splits of 25:13, 39:22 and 23:17. Ultan Hynes (178) 1:31:57 with splits of 18:18, 44:54 and 24:05. Aidan McNamara (183) 1:32:26 with splits 25:55, 35:47 and 27:25. Noel Quinn (274) 1:45:45 with splits of 30:12, 42:39 and 28:03. Eilis Crimmins (301) 1:55:51 with splits 16:17, 1:01:04 and 32:46.

A number of juniors also completed their first triathlon in various age groups and over varying distances. Well done to Loughrea Triathlon Club on their excellent offering.

Under 10: Sean McCormack (39) 24:47 with splits of 4:45, 11:50 and 6:16. David Owens (43) 26:10 with splits of 6:04, 12:00 and 5:13.

Under 12: Conor Owens (26) 32:47 with splits of 9:44, 13:29 and 7:51. Saoirse Quinn (41) 38:41 with splits of 7:18, 18:02 and 10:24.

Under 15: Conor Butler (30) 52:05 with splits 12:40, 25:36 and 11:23.
