FOLLOWING the postponement of their opening O'Byrne Cup game with DCU last weekend, the Offaly Senior footballers are facing into two games into the next four days as their preparations for the league continue.
Last Sunday's game was initially moved to Ferbane but sub zero temperatures on Saturday night meant the pitch was deemed unplayable.
The game has been re-fixed for tonight (Wednesday) under lights in Rhode with a throw in time of 7.30pm.
Tonights winners will travel to Newbridge on Sunday to play Kildare in the O'Byrne Cup while the losers will travel to face Longford in the O'Byrne Shield.
Manager Tom Cribbin will be without a large number of players for the games. Rhode are still involved in the Leinster Club Championship while a number of players will be playing with their colleges.
