In December, Tullamore Kenpo karate Studio, Partick’s Court, in the centre of Tullamore, held its last grading (belt level test) of the year.
Over the past twelve months Tullamore kenpo karate have held four gradings for its students,provided a very successful summer camp, participated in the St Patricks Day parade and hosted two of the worlds highest ranking kenpo instructors in the world.
Professor Downey 7th dan black belt and European Director, attended the studio and put a group of sixty five students through their paces.
From basic punching, kicking and blocking, to the street self defence techniques, that kenpo karate is so famous for, all the students worked hard and showed their level of skill and knowledge.
Professor Downey commented on what he had seen, stating that, Tullamore was one of the most successful kenpo clubs in the Country and one of the most organised. with students of a high quality
