St Mary's through to Leinster semi-final

ST Mary's Edenderry progressed to the Leinster Colleges SF A semi-final on Friday with a one point win over Good Counsel. However Colaiste Iosagain exited the competition at the hands of Dundalk Colleges.

ST Mary's Edenderry progressed to the Leinster Colleges SF A semi-final on Friday with a one point win over Good Counsel. However Colaiste Iosagain exited the competition at the hands of Dundalk Colleges.

Leinster Colleges SF A quarter-finals

St Mary's Edenderry 1-7

Good Counsel 0-9

Dundalk Colleges 4-7

Colaiste Iosagain 1-5

In windswept Carlow, with a gale force diagonal wind making finishing incredibly difficult, St Mary's lead at the break. Their only point in the second-half came in injury-time but that was enough to win the game.

They had the same margin to spare over the same opposition in the same venue in the 2009 Leinster Final.

Unfortunately for Colaiste Iosagain, they conceded four goal against Dundalk Colleges which was always going to leave them too big a mountain to climb.
