On a day better suited to lazing on the beach, Tullamore Phoenix travelled to Drogheda to take on a Lightning team still basking in the glow of the biggest win, 40-0 against the Trim Bulldogs a week previously, in their short history.

For Phoenix, they now know a win against the Dublin Dragons in Tullamore Rugby Club at 4pm on Monday August 1 will see them win their second successive national title.
