FINAL preparations are being put in place for this year’s Offaly 10k and 5k walk event which will take place on Sunday May 27 at 11:30am.

It is planned to be a family day which can be competitive or fun and is a great opportunity to help raise much needed funds for both you club and your county.

The entry fee goes directly to support the county, while funds raised on club sponsorship cards goes directly to support clubs.

For more details visit www.offalygaa.ie or speak with your club secretary. Registration on line is now open on and sponsorship cards are available from you club secretaries on that date.

Come along and join Operation Transformation hero Adrian Brereton on the 10km or 5km and help support your club and county.

Families are very welcome to take part in the 5km walk, mothers or fathers with buggies, kids on bicycles or kids jogging/walking, it is all about having fun.

Registration on the day is at O’Connor Park and if there is enough interest on the day, tours will be provided of O’Connor Park through the dressing rooms, warm up area, press area, referees room, control room etc. If you are interested in a tour of O’Connor Park on the day after the run / walk please e-mail Niall at pro.offaly@gaa.ie
