TULLAMORE Harriers' athlete Carthage 'Catch' Grennan achieved his own personal goal at the GOAL Mile on Christmas Day in Tullamore.
With all the other participants gathered around, true romantic Catch, as our picture above shows, got down on bended knee in the snow to propose to his girlfriend Marlena Sniczer.
While Catch would be no stranger to having his heart racing thanks to his exploits as a runner, his pulse was still beating that bit faster as he waited for an answer.
Thankfully for Catch, Marlena accepted his proposal and the newly engaged couple were given a round of applause by all present while Olympian Pauline Curly showered them in snow confetti.
A large crowd were in Tullamore on Christmas Day to participate in the GOAL Mile. For further coverage see page 30.
