Tullamore Squash Club have just completed their Winter League, which was enjoyed by all who played in it.
Finals were held last with John Ryan’s Team A against Paul Redmond’s Team E. Somehow, Team A seemed to be the Golden Team with a resounding result of 18/4.
It was rather a one sided affair, but all players enjoyed their games. John’s Team comprised of Tommy McArdle, John himself, Michael Duffy, Aidan Lawless, Robert Tormey, Cathal Maher and Louise Lordan.
Paul’s team comprised of Paul, Tom Clarke, Stephen Lawlor, Catherine Doheny, Tom Greene, Geraldine Kelly, and Padraig Turley. Refreshments were available and we’d like to take this opportunity to thank Teresa Clarke for making the sandwiches.
Next event is the Summer League which we envisage will start April 17/24. All those interested please put your name on the board as we need names on it sooner rather than later in order to organise it.
As usual, we are always looking for new members, so now might be the time to pick up a squash racket and hit the courts. We have Brian Lawlor, qualified coach who, for a small fee will give any level a lesson. It’s well worth it. Brian also has the facility of stringing rackets, so broken strings cannot be an excuse.
