Lee Pearson and Liam Farrell took part in a ‘pairs’ competition, run as part of Athletics Ireland juvenile programme. Both boys qualified easily in the Leister qualifiers a week earlier in Navan, having taken gold in the same events. This latest achievement adds greatly to their medal haul even at the U-11 age group.

Niamh O’Connor took another silver medal in the National Junior 5000m race in Tullamore on Sunday last. She has had a fantastic year at indoors and cross country.

Lee and Liam will be in action along with a large group of other Edenderry AC athletes in Tullamore on Sunday, July 8 for the Community games county finals.

The club will also have eight athletes competing in the Leinster U-13 to U-19 track & field on Saturday and Sunday, June 30 and July 1.

Training continues Mondays and Wednesdays in the VEC field 5pm-6.30pm.
