Pauline Curley claimed victory once again in the Longford Marathon on Sunday with a new course record of 2.44.22. – over a minute faster than her 2012 winning time.

This was the fourth consecutive win for Pauline at this event and the unstoppable Olympian has also clocked faster consecutive times in each of last four years.

Pauline has shown impressive form in what is proving to be a particularly successful year to date. Since her National Championship podium finish at last October’s Dublin City Marathon, the Tullamore woman has clocked up four marathon titles in the space of just four months with wins at Kildare, Waterford and Cork as well as Longford.

Despite that hectic summer schedule she has also managed to build on each performance, running progressively faster times at each one as she continues her stellar career.
